On October 11 and 12, Amazon will hold their Prime Early Access Sale, officially kicking off the holiday shopping season. Retailers proclaim hundreds of thousands of year-low prices across nearly all product lines.

These perks are available for purchase on a monthly or annual basis. A membership to the retail giant went up from $12.99 to $14.99 per month earlier this year. The original sum of $119 increased to a total of $139.
The price of student memberships went up. Amazon’s Prime Student is now $69 yearly (up from $59) or $7.49 monthly for those who are enrolled in at least one college course in the 50 states or Puerto Rico.

The benefits of Amazon’s Prime continue to grow. In addition to video streaming and cloud photo storage, Prime members have access to exclusive shopping events like Prime Day and the Prime Early Access Sale, as well as savings at Whole Foods Market.
In the summer, Amazon announced that its American customers could qualify for a free Grub Hub membership for an entire year, allowing them to order food from any restaurant in their area and have it delivered to them at no cost. After the first year, monthly fees of $9.99 will be charged to members without further action from the member.
